The viability of the Blue Municipalities Network and the ways of cooperation between the Ministry of Environment and the Blue Municipalities Network were the main topics of discussion of the meeting that took place between members of our organization and the Secretary-General Mr. Varelidis.
Mr. Varelidis showed a special interest in the actions and programs implemented by our organization and stressed once again the importance of acquiring a legal entity for the network. At the same time, he responded positively to the request for establishing a communication channel between officials of the Ministry and the members of the technical team of the Network, in order to facilitate the dissemination of good practices and conclusions as well as the utilization of primary data produced in the framework of our actions.
The participants agreed that a stable and constructive cooperation should be our main goal and in this direction, ways will be sought to strengthen the work of the Network.
