We are welcoming the Municipality of Kasos Island to the Blue Municipalities Network! Our joy is twofold since Kasos is the first island in the Dodecanese complex to install a marine litter collection station.
Under these circumstances and following the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between our organization and the municipal authorities, the accession of Kasos municipality has been completed. In this context, we are optimist that this cooperation will be particularly productive taking into account the fact that the Municipality of Kasos has already moved forward on waste management and recycling issues.
Therefore, along with our joy is the obligation to support the local community and the municipal authorities in their efforts to protect the marine environment.
