We visited Santorini island, where we successfully completed the Info Day on the marine ecosystem, organized in collaboration with the Municipal Port Fund of Thira, as part of the EU Erasmus+ “Blue Isles” project.
The event was attended by the whole of the local authorities and by representatives of fishermen and tourism professionals with whom we discussed the activities of our organization on the island in collaboration with the M.P.F. of Thira, while we presented the “Blue Isles” project deliverables, where the participants showed great interest and raised key questions about the reduction of marine litter and the preservation of marine ecosystems.
At the same time, we found the opportunity to visit the Marine Litter Stations we maintain on the island and to carry out our educational program at Karterados Primary School. Many thanks to the school management and the teachers for their immediate positive response, the excited students and certainly, our partners at M.P.F. of Thira for their precious help.
