Municipality of Alonnisos

Alonnisos island belongs to the Sporades island complex in the Aegean Sea. With a coastline of 67 km, it is the third largest island of the Sporades and includes important terrestrial and marine ecosystems. According to the 2021 census, it has 3,138 permanent residents; however, throughout the summer, it experiences significant tourist inflows.

The island boasts an active port at Patitiri that contributes to commercial, passenger, shipping, tourism, and fishing activities, as well as a fishing shelter in the area of Votsi. Additionally, approximately 50 fishermen are active on the island.
